Alia Henton-Williams is a community advocate, change maker and a compassionate leader who leads with purpose and champions crisis response, collaboration and community-centered care to strengthen communities. She is a dedicated public service professional committed to strengthening community-based crisis response and improving outcomes for individuals and families experiencing crisis, trauma and victimization. Through her work, for several decades, in the Greater Rochester community with the City of Rochester’s Crisis Intervention Services Unit, Alia helps advance compassionate, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches that prioritize dignity, safety, and connection to appropriate supports. She is passionate about collaboration, community engagement, equity, and building systems that better meet people where they are during times of crisis.
