New Board Members Bring Expertise and Passion to Miss Julie’s School of Beauty
At Miss Julie’s School of Beauty, our mission has always been rooted in healing, empowerment, and opportunity. As we continue to grow and strengthen our survivor-led programs, we are thrilled to welcome two new board members whose expertise and dedication perfectly align with our vision for a more compassionate and informed community.
Meet Andrea Anderson — Veteran & Buffalo Police Department
Andrea Anderson brings a wealth of experience from her years of service in the Buffalo Police Department and as a veteran dedicated to protecting and uplifting others. Her firsthand understanding of trauma, crisis intervention, and community engagement makes her an invaluable addition to our leadership team.
Andrea’s service extends beyond law enforcement — she believes deeply in second chances, dignity, and education as pathways to transformation. Her insight into systems-based advocacy and her heart for empowering survivors will help Miss Julie’s strengthen connections with community safety networks and local resources.
Meet Robyn Miller — Traveling Nurse Specializing in Psychiatric Nursing
Robyn Miller joins our board with over 20 years of experience as a traveling nurse specializing in psychiatric and emergency care. Her deep compassion, trauma-informed perspective, and dedication to mental wellness align beautifully with our mission to create safe, healing-centered spaces for learning.
As a healthcare professional and mentor, Robyn understands the intersection of trauma, resilience, and recovery. Her leadership will support our continued growth in trauma-informed education and student well-being, ensuring every survivor at Miss Julie’s receives not just skill-based training — but holistic care and understanding.
A Shared Vision for Empowerment
Both Andrea and Robyn embody the heart of Miss Julie’s School of Beauty: courage, compassion, and community. Their diverse backgrounds in law enforcement, healthcare, and advocacy bring powerful new perspectives to our board — helping us expand our reach, strengthen partnerships, and continue shaping a school where survivors thrive academically, emotionally, and professionally.
We are deeply honored to have them join our mission. Together, we’re building a future where education heals, beauty empowers, and survivors lead the way.
Welcome, Andrea and Robyn — we are so grateful to have you on the team helping us create beautiful futures at Miss Julie’s School of Beauty.
